Since RotW, I don't see my flamer doing aoe damage by default. Anyone else seeing this?

Yes....it's a shame....I am experiencing the same thing....My flame hits 3-4enemies but only damages one!!! This is especially frustrating with those new freakin' snakes outside the Wookie capital!!!!

It does like half the elemental damage on the weapon in AoE. So it's basically a giant agro pulling gun. If the devs don't fix the AoE so it's actually useful, then I'm gonna be... "unhappy".

Then we need to get a little more vocal about this issue. I'll be /buging this in game now, I suggest you all do the same. Also, I'll try to put it on any dev bug threads.

so far none of my weapons do AoE. i've been mucking about with all the commando weapons at one point. mostly cause i had to grind out 2 mil of HW xp to finish my template.

what good are our weapons if we just agro the crap out of huge mobs, then we get smashed. I was out with a group last night, and my ft totally drew in ay to many rankors for us to handle. And I wasn't doing damage but to the one, so is full auto area not working on the groups, or just on my primary target? Please help me out here, I might go rifles/carbines if this is gonna stay broken. Please fill us in.

What I am seeing in the combat log is that the AOE is only doing 1 or 0 points of damage (but still hitting and drawing aggro). The good news is that things like KD still work AOE.

Our dots are nurfed to the point of uselessness also. I only do about a 100 point dot at max. And all commando weapons are agro cannons at the moment. Plus granades take forever to regin so you can do another attack so they are also pointless. Basicly commando is a huge waste of skill points at the moment. Target mob, hit attack, get agro of everything around you, die.

The AOE Damge Bug is our Number 1 issue(I feel strange saying our because I'm a half Respec/Half Double XP Commando). Infact I would go as far as saying it is game breaking for the profession.
What's the point of heavy weapons if they have no AOE damage? They can be out damaged by a lot of weapons.

Exactly, if our specials are "suppose" to be "built in" to the weapon...we have a very serious problem with this profession when our weapons don't work.

Helios is aware for the most part, of the situation...so a fix is being worked on. However, I haven't recieved any updates on the matter so there isn't really an ETA unfortunately...
. It may be a bigger problem than we first thought..coding wise, and I really hope we'll be seeing the fix and the balance to our AoE (raising the bar so its actually required for us to control our firepower, rather than just not use our weapons) in the next patch or two...
Other professions are having some minor bugs that are causing ripples in the force concerning their roles too, so the Devs have quite a bit on their to do list unfortunately
On a more positive note - Im back full time again! Hell week ended, and man...May 8th feels so good...
