Nope, sorry. I don't even know how to get INTO avatar station. Though I did get a Y-8 and my reb clone armor. I walked into Kachiro and got like 3-5 tells saying, "Hey, you're a reb, how are you in imp armor?"

Not me either... got the Proton Carbine... but no sign of the Proton Rifle.

The Proton Rifle, and other assortment of neat weapons, can be found in Myyydril Caverns/Kkowir Forest. That's all the clues I can give.

he CAN drop the rifle, its a random drop from him.

the stats suck anyway...on TC the froggy PRs had raw DPS around 300, but they changed it so thats its raw DPS is around 225 and it gives you +10 HW speed and accuracy instead, hoo-ah (what good are speed and accuracy except to increase your DPS?)....all the Necrosis looted weapons have crappy damage and mods now

If my memory doesn't fail me, the base DPS for some of the highest CL and most powerful guns was between 260-270 base DPS, so the proton rifle has not only the +10 HW Acc/Speed but the same upper echelon crafting post-CU that WS' can produce. The only weapons that can reach a base DPS of around 300 in the current system, unenhanced, are those weapons using converted components (pre-CU power handlers are MUCH better than current power handlers ive found)

Now, what really gets us peeved is that its not a schematic and worse - a random loot! And, a ROTW weapon when it was suppoused to be a "CU" weapon...

Other weapons with similar fates as our Proton Rifle are not as affected in the Master level department as we are concerning this, as the proton rifle is our only non-AoE weapon. The only scenario that comes as close, are those professions that have their mid-level certs as these new loot weapons =/

What would be ideal is if they did a craftable Commando only version of the Proton Rifle that had higher stats than the lootable. Then they could take the certs off the lootable one so that Rifleman and BH's could use it, but remove any HW mods on it and have it as sort of the poor cousing of the MC version.

not to be contrary starnick, but the BASE dps of my proton carbine is 330.

makes the rifle look pretty bad in comparison.

Yeah, I was hearing about some of the stats on the carbine being REALLY out there (Saw the carbineer corr talking about this earlier), where some folks have been getting modified DPS for their proton carbines up to around 700 dmg per second. That leads me to think...the stats are messed up a bit...

For what it seems, the rifle seems to be right on target - although, I still wish it couldve been loot schematic.
