Thread: going comando noob questions.

Ive been playing for a few weeks and im trying to figure out the elite proffesions.
I understand they have more strict guidelines to become them so my questions start to arise.
Currently im a 3343 marksman (testing the waters seeing which weapons i like)
I see that comando takes a 42000 combat xp to get the novice box.
Is that 42000 after i get tier 4 ranged support or just 42000 period.
When i get said combat xp who do i train it from.
any help understanding the elite prof and how to obtain them would be great im kinda scratching my head on them all right now.

Once you gain a skill you "spend" your experience points. What that means is you will need 42000 combat xp AFTER you get Ranged Support IV.
You get combat xp by killing creatures with ANY weapon but it is 10 percent of the experience
For example, killing a piket with a pistol will give you 5000 pistol xp and 500 combat xp.

Thats what i was thinking. so am i also needing ranged support 4 to get novice Commando or could you just get cxp and just take it instead of ranged support.

No sir. The complete ranged support line is necessary to get commando. Also the unarmed tree of brawler is the other prereq.
When you choose commando from the skills tree look the the professions listed below and it will tell you what prerequisite trees are needed.
In general, most all elite professions require two trees of a basic level profession.
