Well, you've got to remember that critical hits don't happen very often anyway. Overall, Leg shot probably has higher DPS. And you guys said to go grab head shot when CU was in the beta. And I kept telling you that leg shot was better. ![]()
Anyway, if you have improved leg shot, you also have crippling shot, and are a box away from charge shot, a knockdown special, and then another two from improved charge shot, which does about 2/3rds to 3/4s of improved leg shot's damage.
So I'd say to go carbs over bh.
When I read the description of the move the first time, I was reminded of KoToR or other D20 games. In KoToR there is a feat called Critical Strike, of which there are also improved and advanced versions.
In the first version, if the attack roll is a 19 or20then your damage is doubled. (Damage roll is after the attackroll.)
In the second version, if the attack roll roll is 18 or more then your damage is doubled.
In the final version, if the attack roll is 17 or more then your damage is doubled.
In all of these versions, your damage is not penalized if you fail to roll the requirement for the critical strike; you just do standard damage. However, I think your accuracy (attack roll) is penalized by -3 (then -2 and -1 for the higher versions) for 3 seconds. I'd like to hear a real explanation of how BH's critical Shot works.
