Well, I can get a nice 800+ shot in with those protons, I just would like more info on how they are working, and how they SHOULD be working, if we know

Currently they will aggro everything in a 30m radius from your target as well as a 30m radius from your feet. At least that is how it has worked in my experience. The damage from the Thermal Dets was such that the only one running and screaming, was me. *sigh*

Here's the deal. I pulled the trusty ol flamethrower out of a dusty ol bag in the back room of the house, and used a /respec to give it a try. Loads of fun toasting things, so I bought a crate of proton grenades. Tons of fun chucking a grenade and blazing a high damage special on something after a root. Problem is the 125 second timer on my grenades. Thats over 2 minutes. I spent 6 years in the army, including 2 combat deployments. I can assure you I certainly never spent 2 minutes inspecting a grenade before I threw it. ( Also never played with a flamethrower, either, come to think of it).
I see the grenade timer bit is in the stickies, but I am posting here since the stickies left me a bit unclear. Is that long of a timer intentional, and if so, why does it say 10 for my refire time, or whatever that stat it when I examine my grenades. (Ive been playing since september '03, and naturally that term deserts me now when I need it.) My dueterium pyro drink says duration 52, and it lasts just about 52 seconds, and so I expect the refire rate on my grenades refers to 10 seconds, but I get a system message of roughly 125 seconds if I try to chain fire grenades.
Additionally, before I go blow a bunch of creds on more nades, does that timer only work on one type of grenade at a time, or perhaps one stack? I guess, I am really asking if there is a way around it, to gain some good burst DPS. I recall that there was a hard-cap of 8 seconds per grenade pre-cu, regardless of any other modifiers, and I thought that was rough. If that has been upped to 125 seconds, I would say I shoulda kept my mouth shut back then.

nades (all of them) seem to be broken right now...not worth using at the moment
