Thread: Commando PVP Question.

Hey, im new to the whole SWG thing and i decided i liked the commando. But im not sure on what pvp wep to go for once i master it, i know there will be many different ideas on weapons but what weapon would u say is the best for commandos in pvp? (could u put the full name of wep pls)

Btw im going for this template.

Master Commando
Combat med 4xxx
Marksman x4x4

This a good setup for pvp?.

Oh also if anyone has any pvp tactics that would work good with my template pls feel free to add that too.

I dont know what skills your CM gives you so i cant comment on that...

the CM 4xxx only gives advanced bacta spray n shot.

I find that I work best in PvP when I stick to being a 'crowd control' person about 80% of the time, and 'bringer of hot, steaming death' 20% of the time.


First thing I suggest is to get a Rocket Launcher.


You may look at the DPS on that and laugh, but think of it's usefullness. It's got a 65m range. When it hits, it's got a radius of damage. It has a good chance to knockdown anyone within that radius. Sounds decent, right? Now think about using thatwith your Pistoleer Fan shot. Very handy for when the enemy gets bold and tries to make a full frontal assault. Follow that up with the Pistoleer's Warning Shot (pretty sure that's the one that drops their AC by 80 points.) When they get back up and try to keep charging? Adv. Stopping Shot.

Looking to dish out a bit better damage from a distance? Lightning cannon! It's AE, has an annoying fire dot, and packs a decent punch. Use on conjunction with any other Pistoleer status / debuff attacks to create electrical mayhem.


OK, maybe their rush was a bit too overwhelming, and they're in close. Grab that plasma FT and start spraying. If you need to fall back and get some distance between you and them, hit Stopping Shot with the PFT and fall back.


As tempting as it is to burst run into enemy ranks with the flamethrower belching searing pain, remember that you're going to quickly become the bane of your enemy's existance.


You're that guy sticking an annoying burn dot on them. You're that guy knocking everyone down from 65 meters out whenever they try to inch up. You're that guy throwing AE roots, leaving them as sitting ducks in the middle of the battlefield.


With that in mind, stay back and set them up for your ranged counterparts to beat on. If they get brave and charge, make them pay for it.


You're a commando. You control the flow of this battle. This is YOUR battlefield. YOUR HOME. And no one is taking your home from you.

also is rocketlauncher unlimited ammo just as a normal gun or what?

AlsoI sudjest geting an ASL that way you can stack on an AoE blind along with a greater AoE area for any other state you want to put on your pre. (its 65 range to and actualy has decient damage, mines 250 DPS base)

CM 4xxx = the ability to heal 1.2k fast in addition to your Stim D. So that's 2.4k of fast recovery, and more available while your Stim is in its cool off period.
