My personal commando revamp guideline! (yet another one)



------Proffession Pre-requirements: Master Marksman. (yes no more brawler BS. Master Marksman makes all the sense in the world as we are purely ranged weapons and supposed to be the special heavy hitters of the marksman elites)


------All commandoboxes currently as they are except the changes noted below:



Novice Commando: Certs ALL non-consumable heavy weapons except plasma flamethrower. No heavy weapon or general ranged speed mods or accuracy mods on novice box.


Field Tactics branch: +10 terrain negotiation per box, box4 field tactics certifies commando to use bomb droids.


-------Weapons:


Remove all AOE ability from heavy weapons except the flamethrowers and Acid Rifle.


Rename :

Heavy Rocket Launcher: Light Plasma Cannon

Heavy Lightning Beam Cannons: Light Electron Cannon

Heavy Acid Stream Launcher: Light Acid Cannon

Heavy Particle Beam Cannon: Light Particle Cannon.


Make min/max of these weapons to be: min 500 max 700, speed of4 seconds hard cap for minimal refire rate.


Effects of light cannons:


Light Plasma Cannon: Knockdown+stun

Light Electron Cannon: fire dot, reduced resistance to state effects (shock)

Light Acid Cannon: Basic Armor Break (12 second duration)

Light Particle Cannon : Weaken (lowers enemy defenses, max ham, regeneration rates and attack speed by 10%, duration 1 minute)



Launcher Pistol: min 200 max 500 effect: dizzy (and please give it back its old red-trail animation, just remove the smoke)


Acid Rifle: aoe blind (but not blind self.. i mean, c'mon!), 600 - 700 max damage max

Normal Flamethrower: cone damage hitting all targets for 100%, 25m range, low damage fire dot that sticks 60% of times, 300-600 damage, elemental damage 150 max


Master Box: Old Consumable weaponsCert. Consumable heavy weapons are on an independent timer..aka all consumable heavies will not be tied to regular weapon timers.



Heavy Rocket Launcher: min 3k max 5k , kinetic damage, aoe 20m radius. 250 action cost min. Timer:5 minutesminimum. Range: 64m

Heavy Particle Beam Cannon: Min 1k max 2k , energy damage,no AOE, 150 SAC, timer: 10 seconds minimum range: 40m

Heavy Acid Stream Launcher: Min 800 max 1500, acid damage, 20 second AOE60% movement speed debuff sac 200 timer: 25 seconds min range: 30m

Heavy Lightning Beam Cannon: min 1.5k max 3k : electricity damage, no AOE, 100 SAC, timer: 2 minutes minimum range: 50m


Again, the above are all under one timer type: consumable heavy weapons. If you fire a rocket you wont be able to fire a heavy particle until the 5 minutes of that timer are up, but you can switch to a regular weapon or a light cannon and fire since they are on regular weapons timer.


CONSUMABLE HEAVY WEAPONS NEED TO BE MADE NON-NAMED RESOURCE SPECIFIC TO CRAFT AND TIME TO CRAFT NEEDS TO BE CUT IN HALF TO BE PROFITABLE AND WORTHWHILE TO CRAFT BY WEAPONSMITHS!!!!


Proton Rifle : as long as it shoots....


Plasma Flamethrower: Same as now except fire dot needs to stick 85% of times.


Grenades: Same as now except they do need to have all their effects stick 100% of the time and last at least 30 seconds each. Damage needs to be increased to twice what they do now. GRENADES NEED TO HAVE THEIR CRAFTING TIME CUT IN HALF.


Armor: Commando NEEDS its own armor. Bounty Hunters have their own armor, I believe Commando should receive a craftable version of the ARC clone commando armor as seen in the clone wars cartoons. The Katarn armor is not that clone armor. helmets need be narrower and more mandalorian-like but retaining its stormtrooper look. Make it the same stats as the BH armor for all I care.



Make the Commando proffession that and all our problems are over. For dabblers we provide very useful effects via light cannons, crowd controlers get aoe with flamer/acid rifle, for master commando we get true 5 damage rating (albeit on a long timer) that no other proffession can borrow and up the damage even further with their own special (aka we wont get overpowered and be nerfed down the lane).
