Hi,
I now have the xp to learn one first commando skill... but I am unsure if I should go the launcher/flamer way or the Acid way...
I bought a rocket launcher and noticed that there is a small number in the upper right (inventory). It shows a 29. Normally this is used to show how much uses are left... - So can I use the rocket launcher only 29 times and then it's broken ?
The Acid lvl 22 weapon (140 dps)seems to make much less damage then the rocket launcher (170 dps)... - Is this only a condition of the current market at my galaxy or is there always such a big difference ?
btw. I really would like to have some single target weapons that the commando can _also_ play in teams/groups!

DPS isn't really the best way to determine good commando weapons. Damage/SAC is the most important, then good speed. For example, I used to use a 2.55 960 max dmg/108 SAC Plasma Flamethrower...now I use a 2.84 1113 max dmg/100 SAC Plasma Flamethrower. I can get improved legshot specials out in approximately the same time (3 seconds), but I can get a good 300+ damage every shot, and for 8 less SAC.
Anyways, you bought a pre-CU rocket launcher that was converted. Ignore the number, as those didn't go away when our consumables were changed into non consumables and converted to the new CU system.
Since you've already acquired a Rocket Launcher, it doesn't matter if you go Acid Weapons 1 or Rocket Launcher 1, the best bet would go up either the Incindinary line to get the regular Flamethrower, and then Beam Weapons IV to get the Lightning Beam Cannon which you can then use until master.
Both the Rocket Launcher and Heavy Acid Rifle are non-AoE, the Rocket Launcher was iffy pre-publish 20...but it seems to have lost its AoE. The only other non-AoE is the looted Proton Rifle which is at Master Commando.
