Does the Proton Rifle give Rifle or Heavy Weapon xp?


Also if I were to buy some SEA's, wouldRifle Speed or Heavy Weapon speed affect the windup/cooldown of this weapon?

The Proton Rifle is a Heavy Weapon, therefore gives Heavy Weapon xp. As such, heavy weapon attachments apply, and NOT rifle attachments. And the attachments WILL help with the overall speed of the gun.
