i realize that this is a foreign concept in SWG, but it seems to me that you should get better and cooler weapons as you rise in skill level of yourchosen profession, not the other way around. has anyone else noticed that you usually get 2 to 3 weapon certs after getting skill level one under any skill line of brawler or marksman, but once you train in your elite profession you only get 1?! how does that make sense, you have lots of useless weapons, and maybe 1 or 2 good ones. Also, shouldn't you get a new weapon certification for hitting master of an elite profession?! i mean that just doesn't make sense to me. anybody else share these views? this doesn't just apply to swordsman, or pikeman, but all professions should recieve this.

Heya,

These kind of design issues have been flagged up for months, since release.

Gorecki is the Swordsman Correspondant. If you read some of his posts in the "Sticky" section at the top, or look back a few pages on this forum, you'll see many topics and discussions about this particular issue, aswell as many others.

I've seen replies from the devs where they are saying that more weapons are on the way. I think it might even be stated in this forums "Developers response" or what it's called. Don't know what the level requirements are going to be though.

it also uses plumbum as its main ingerdiant... yay...


i dont know about the rest of you but im getting sick of every new wep being a looted schematic that benefits loot campers more than weapon smiths, this game wasnt supose to be about loot camping...

Loot camping? For schems, I think not. The schematic for the elusive genosian pistol is a loot yes, and do loot campers get it, maybe but who knows, I have only seen one schem ever sold on the starsider forums. The dxr6b schem is a loot that everyone can easily get its not really campable but you can do it multiple times to your enjoyment. The scythe schem is a quest, you have to be a decent fighter to actually get the quest and then that is only 2 schems per person. The themepark schems are rewards that everyone gets for completion. The new schems that are temp schems are most likely set up like the dxr6b schem, or the genosian stun pistol schem, but hopefully there is atleast one new schem with this mini-publish that everyone can get with a decent amount of fighting(given the dungeon is hard) like the dxr6b.

I must add that if the genosian stun pistol schems were permanent and not extremely rare loots then they wuold be everywhere and they are a great gun when made correctly and would completely tilt the pyramid of pistols if this were the way it had been laid out.

So like I said earlier, loot campers rewarded, I think not.

Also the patch notes for today -


Crafting: Razor knuckler now requires nightsister vibro blade unit to craft
Crafting: DE 10 pistol now requires 1 barrel instead of 0 barrels


Seem to imply that there is a new knuckler as well.


The pistoleer thread states that the pistol is a one use schem from the deathwatch cave, and it requires a looted component as well. As of right now it had not been crafted yet, but still it looks promising.

the geno pistol goes for upwards of 5 mill for the schem on ahazi, id say that rewards loot campers, and stun batons and jawa ions are also very nice weps made correctly, they dont ove balance the game, remember the geno pistol has no AP, it isnt the be all and end all of pistols people make it out to be, tho yes it is better than a lot of others pistoleers have.

I think it would be awsome if we coulld just get all the weapons from the other Star Wars games, such as JO, JKA, Battlefront and any others. I would love to lug around an Imperial Heavy Repeater with concussion launcher.


Man this game could be so much more.....I think poor overall designis the reason it isn't though.
