There's a moron over on our server's forums that's complaining about how Combat XP won't be uber-leet for FS grinding anymore. Your correspondent flamed him pretty well, and I thought it'd be a good idea to show him just what the grenadier community thinks about his idea to "remove XP from grenades".
Bring your flamethrowers, everybody else on our server did.

Imo thats pretty stupid...its like giving someone the ability to have unlimited ammo or 200% more HP in a FPS

Anyone think that this change in conversion will mean there are plans for grenades to be brought up to regular weapon usefulness now? With the next few publishes being all fixes hopefully many of these will be Commando related -- grenades, master level weapons, AoE.
I know you may not be able to say much StarNick, but maybe a /cough or /nod or something if you know anything.

Oh, THAT thread. Yeah, firsthe/she was arguing that she "deserved" force powers in space, then it was that it made sense to everyone BUT the pilots, thenhe/she went to "Male pilots being sexist against female pilots," then it was "I'm right and everyone else is wrong!"

This thread looks a hell of a lot safer to voice an opinion in that the others
Wouldnt it be a good idea for grenades to give 'grenade xp'?
That way you wouldnt have to nerf the combat xp conversion rate, as you would no longer be able to gain it at an alarming rate.
Ofocourse this doesnt change the fact that grenades are next to usless (where, for a weapon thats a bother to craft, and costs you each use, should be better than a 'anytime' weapon)

I think that the combat conversion is fine, and that in order to gain ranks in explosives takes combat exp is fine.
It's confession time for Kaytin. To be truly honest with you guys, I started to grind commando several months before the CU. I WAS doing it for the combat exp grind (yes I know, I will go dip myself into the boiling oil and feather myself in a moment). However, since I have mastered the prof, I have come to love it, and the RP role I play in the SW universe. I have turned an entire 180 on the main reason why I now keep commando. I totally agree with the convertion of exp in FS, I have had my eyes truly opened to the plight of the commando.
