From what I've seen, I'd have to say the flamethrower but I hear that the main reason it does such insane damage is due to some sort of melee weapon bug--which is being fixed. Anyway, from theyour educated points of view, which weapon would you guys pick if you could only have one? I'm a carbineer but I haveenough skill points for a single weapon type of commando and I was wondering what would complimentmy carbine skills well, any ideas? Thanks in advance!

As of right now, acid is pretty much a carbon copy of the flamethrower except it's weaker, slower and requires more xp for skills. If the devsmade it an actual rifle and gave it long range capabilities then maybe it'd have more of a use (with a cost to the flamethrower's abilities of course). But until the, the flamethrower is superior in every way. That's why you never see anybody carry an acid rifle around.

My friend is a flamer, so I chose to use acid rifle. Trust me, you'll be happier with the flamethrower, everything the above post says is true. Don't get me wrong, I like my acid rifle, but compared to the flamethrower there is no contest.
