Ok I am a former bounty hunter who switched to commando after all the cool weaponry was released. I was planning on getting master bounty hunter then I changed my mind and now just thinking about getting Heavy Weapons and Flamethrower but now I am just thinking about going flamethrower. I currently have flamethrower 3 and plan on getting flamethrower 4. I also have heavy weapons 1. I have tested out a particle beam cannon (I believe like 1300-2400) in aduel with a friend at ideal range (48 meters) and it only did like 750 damage. These things cost like 30k and come with 30 charges. Thats like 1k a shot. I have talked to some people and they have said that heavy weapons are only good against pets in PvP, other people say they are good against both players and pets and other people say they aren't useful in PvP at all. So if anyone could fill me in on what heavy weapons are good for I would appreciate it very much.

Oh and one more thing, what are grenades good against, if they are good at all?

Consumable weapons are expensive, but have armor piercing unlike flame and acid.

Grenades go boom, but have armor piercing, unlike flame and acid.

If PvP is what you do....and you're reasonably intelligent....BH is WAY better for PvP. I mean way, like 5x better. More weapons, better range options, more reasonably priced weapons. We, atm, have the flamethrower and the rest is garbage. Soon the FT won't be as effective (hopefully remove the melee bug) and you'll be left without any good PvP option.

Commandos are good at taking out faction pets, themepark missions, and taking highlevel NPC characters.
