Quick question, I'm sure this is known to everyone here but I'm too lazy to read through all the posts. I've noticed that when I do damage with Flamesingle or Flamecone on RANCORS I don't get any Heavy XP at all.....even if its the first shot and afterwords I do regular attack.

However, this is not the case with anything else I've killed so far. I've been doing nothing but flamesingle and flamecone on stormtroopers and other creatures and get XP. Is it just me?

I went on a rancor hunt last night and exactly the sae thing happened to me =(

Are rancors still 100% flame resistent? If so your flame thrower did 0 damage and the burn alone killed the rancor, or the othe rpeople in your group got all the exp. Our exp is not based on burn damage, but on the inflicted damage from the shot.

yes rancors have very high resist to heat. ancient, enraged, bull rancors all have 100% heat resist.

use fire dot then switch to acid rifle and score a hit, you get only the xp for the damage done by the acid rifle. which is low.

you're better off going to yavin or endorand torching stuff there.

i get about 2500xp when i just use /attack and /overchargeshot1 and /overchargeshot2 on a rancor. when i bring the dot into the equation i get 0xp no matter what i do. just seems odd that it operates this way.

check the rancor's heat resists.

Ill test this myself using OC1 on a 100% heat resisttarget, if I get xp or deal damage to it then its a bug and will get reported.

Yeah, you're totally right. The rancor youth, mutant, and rancor have like 100% and I don't ge tthe xp on these but do on the gnarled which has like 40% or something. Thanks for clearing this up. Getting much more xp knowing this by switching to launcher pistol and such.

I'm sticking with the rancor coz their meat is nice

put the DOT's on and use a launcher pistol to finish it off, simple...

yah that's what i do now...i never liked launcher coz it gets too smokey lol. i've learned to love it
