ok maybe i do not understand the true meaning of field tacticsIV. Field means to me out in the wilderness beyond city limits. but out in the field commandos suck! two professions should own the field commando and rifleman PERIOD

Field in this case is more like Battlefield IMHO. The Commando get certain skills and abilites that makes him a better soldier than one without Field Tactics.

Ok. What am i missing? I only got grenades (suck)and a lousy +5 melee and ranged defense.

Learn how to use what you have at your disposal and then you won't have anything to gripe about. Yes I do not post a lot, but I was a holo chaser. I am a commando again and after a brief re-introduction to what I wanted to do with my char I doubt very many will stand 1 on 1 if you use everything you have, Master Commando is not enough.... stop fussing and use those other 81 sp to you advantage. You do it right, and you won't need to fuss
