I was just in game and was talking about flamethrowers with someone. Whats the better speed to have? 3.0 or 5.3?? I thought the higher the speed the faster is went, but the person I was talking to made it sound like the 3.0 was better. Am I nuts or did I just think of the speed modification wrong. What speed is faster? 3 or 5.3? I know its dumb so please limit the flaming to a minimal, lol.

yah the speed is kind of like the delay between shots. not sure the exact equation to figure it out, but yup the lower is better

3.0 = 3 seconds
5.3 = 5.3 seconds

What they were probably talking was that usually a higher delay FT has higher min/max damage, while a lower delay usually means lower min/max. Either you have speed or you have higher damage. I personally enjoy speed, my FT is 450-844 3.6 speed...

Creature mines roughly the same damage but 4.9 speed, I think it depends entirely on materials and experimentation points used in the makeing of the thing, right now I have 2 flamethrowers both are about 5.0 speed but one as I said closely matches yours for damage and the other is 500-1k damage. Although I havn't sliced the lower damage one yet (plan to).

so wait... 3.0= 3 seconds? Is that normal attack, or with a special? I know mine shoots faster then that with my 3.0 with normal attack.
