Thread: Novice Commando Woes...
I say, If you really enjoy playing commando... then stick with commando. If holo grinding is your thing... then maybe commando is not the profession for you. It takes away a lot of your skill points that could be used to master whatever those crazy little holos tell you. And with the upcoming nerf our flame specials will not be as effective, plus as a commando, we do not get many defensive mods. So if you need a standby profession while holo grinding, I would say go TKA, or pistoleer... maybe even fencer.
I for one will always be a master commando. No matter what nerf rockets may come my way. I have been through too much and I am too proud. This profession can be a ton of fun, but as you can see also very frustrating. Good luke in whatever path you choose-

I agree with Skip, if you dig commando, stick with it. It's really good for pve and if you have guildmates or friends who are grinding combat xp, you can be a helpful dude. I like to bail people out at the last minute with flame 2 ![]()
As far as holo-grinding, according to the latest announcement for Jedi System changes, it may not be necessary.
"The second phase will be to rebuild the Jedi system to be quest-oriented; and toinclude the familiar elements of Force Sensitivity, Jedi-oriented quests, as well as many other elements the developers and the community feel should make up the process of becoming a Jedi. (It should also be noted that players who have put in work towards becoming a Jedi will not lose their effort. Some sort of recognition of players' efforts will be included in the new system.)"
My 2nd holo prof was commando.Ireally enjoyit and have no intention on switching profs. My 3rd holo is bioengineer and after making my way to novice, I realized I'm just not cut out for the whole crafting thing.
Anyways, happy hunting!
