Lol, busted. This is one of the changes on test center i believe. They changed the Turets range to 80m to stop the exploit.

How can they do this? I didn't know you could shoot that far...???
This would make a commando usless. Why use a rocket on a turret when you can just stand out of range and shoot with your pistol...???

I think I heard something about a bug allowing this, but not sure...
Did you use /report to file a bug report on it?
Also, I'm not sure why you are bringing this up here? Not really a Commando issue (not meant to flame you)...you might get more attention on this by posting in your galaxy forum since it involves many professions...The devs stated, when they closed down the SWG Discussion board, that they will patrol the galaxy forums more looking for bug reports like this...

Just found out, this is from the tarquinas server. Jundo, isa rebel from Rouge Squad, taking the photo's. Those are his turrets. Is this a bannable offence? Or is it just water on a duck?
And still, how can you shoot that far?????

That sucks because my PA's base turret was taken out that way last week. I was told by some of the defenders that night that Imps got the turret from out of its range. Nice to know its in TC and not live. Maybe our turret would still be around.

Thats cracks me up...It can shoot further than you can, hence you cant get near it...Even with a goddamned rocket launcher.....

i believe the exploit was a 72m shot on the turret or something, its being fixed, its just a shame people must sink low to take a basse out. and i must admit, i dont like my rebel colleagues suggesting i use the base as cover. thats just as low also. besides, as commando, its more fun to run around outside levelling everything, HEHEHE

Man, that exploit would have come in handy last night during an attack. A large group of us couldn't get within 65m of a big turrent since it would incapp you with 2 shots. When I finally did get some shots off on it, it took me 5 minutes to do about 8k (out of 100k) worth of damage to it with my wonderful commando weapons (launcher pistol dished out the most damage btw). Anyway, I finally was killed, drove my swoop back within a minute or so and the turrent was back to 100%. Plus the minefield around it
was acting buggy too. It would say something like "there are no nearby mines to disarm". I'd take one step and my @ss would get blown sky-high. It was a wonderful exercise in futility, but it was still fun.
