Fist off I want to say that I love commando, andI have fun win or lose, but that doesnt change me from wanting whats broke to be recognized and be fixed. the following are recent happenings that I LMAO about and make fun of but really are serious matters. Please keep all things positive here and just have fun with it. I hope this explains the diference betwween PvP and PvE to some of you inderectly.

1. PvE today, I soloed a random spawn of grauls and ancient grauls. I hit the lair a little too hard at the end and a massive spawn of about (guessing) 15 grauls and ancient grauls began to attack me as they spawned. Now I got TKA defenses for tanking power and its nice but shouldnt there bea limit for me? Well in this case it isnt. I killed em all just standing there wearing full ubese at 70% kinetic resist just taking hits and the ancient grauls have 70% heat resist. My initial hit only hit for typically 1000 damage and my DoT would tick for 1100. Not sayng I dont like this, just saying we are very lopsided when balncing PvP vs PvE.

2. PvP (I commend for good tactics) Ok here it is, I was dumb and forgot I was overt and flew to coronet, the popular hot spot to just cause trouble. I was gettting a mission when I saw a red dot moving through thte star port on my map. ( I really didnt know I was overt)I immediately stored my speedeer knowing that someone who itends on PvPing is probably buffed whie I was not. I was just in time for a rifleman to come out the door and begin shooting at me. He was trying something as I hadnt seen such lite damage befor from a rifleman in PvP but I shot back a flame single2 to little effect other than wounds for the shprt extent of the fight. Right after I shot him a red dot popped up. Oh yeah, TEF flank move. Thats fine by me, its good tactics, but I prefer that if your attacked first you cant be tef'ed by that person. Anyway the guy that came up red was a MTKA. I noted my defenses were working a little because I didnt fall right away but it soon came. The rifleman flurry shot and got me dizzy then the TKA caught up to me and KD'ed me. From there it was over and there really is no reason to be bitter when they used good tactics and deserved to beat me, I just think I should have left more of a scratch befor falling for the ammount of time I stayed standing in stead of it just delaying the inevitable.

3. PvP (poor tactics that they stil beat me but continue to whine) here is where you know youve met a whiner. The major PvP battle was over and a couple rebs were sticking around fighting of the TEF effects. They had come in a group and fought us at the Dantooine Imp out post. It started off with 7 of us that were back at base first going after em and the fight lasted soem good amount of time as far as fights go since both sides seemed to have some really good medics present. As the fight developed, more IMPs returned and went overt, calling out their AT-STs. We had 5 of them around and 2 graul maulers from a CH. When the rebs were done being beaten, most left whining the whole time about how many AT STs were there to which I replied "You come to an Imp Outpost all cocky and talking trash, what do you expect?" They left except for a couple taht were good sports but yet as rifleman they used tactics that worked at times but seem way off for what a riflemand tactics would be.

See, I picture rifleman staying out of direct fire and trouble and sniping, thesse guys stood right in the open and atr mid range. I just stood behind a building until they got close while distracted shooting at others or backing away from th TKA then I would step around and burn em. They were unbuffed at this point buit were armored. The only thing the burn was good for is they would take the delay to heal the damage and stop firing, and while they did that wounds would apear but it would never be enough for me to kill anyone. After they realized what I was doing, they came out of the clone tank on the delay timer befor being attackable and came and stood toe-to-toe with me, a situation where you would think should belong to the commando. Not the case. I hit flame single and started running when I noticed one shot took 2 bars of mine to 0, and the TKA friend of minewas dealing with the rifleman that did it to me. I laughed because I was running incapped but in all seriousness, that platform for a fight should be mine.

Dont want to read it all? Summary here.

I know that there are situations where I should lose and I dont mind that and have fun either way. What I want to know is on what situation should I win? Should it be only if I fight someone lousy enough to not have armor or buffs and be trying to hit me with master marksman only skills? Or the TKA that couldnt be very high or just stupid thats fighting me while Im buffed and gets me KDed and starts spamming UH to no avail through my ubese armor when I only need a couple more mind hits and Im dead.

The thing is, the people I have beat PvP befor nerf are typically using no tactics and pay little attention to what would take me out quick in my current state. Now, even the crappy PvPers can kill me and not just through special spamming, all they got to do is let their regular shot fly at me and they can out damage me. Yet they still whine about the wounds of the FT and being burnt or about how well I do PvE so I must be so horrible to fight PvE.

I do enjoy PvP scuffles even when I lose (most the time recently) but there are some obvious mistakes that need imediate attention. I will continuwe to just have fun with it but please, if any devs are spending their prcious time to read my long winded report, could we get some hot fixes at least or a little love in this next patch?

I agree with you in the respect that our PvP ability is sorely lacking. I am unsure how to address this or have it fixed since I do not PvP reqularly. There are others that have ideas and hopefully it will reach the right people.

i agree with the pvp statements, but not entirely with the pve/whiners who say we rock in PvE and PvP (hence "uber")

what TKA lvl are you? No way in hell will a pure commando be able to withstand the punishment you took, even with armor...just because you were able to withstand such punishment because of TKA skills, doesnt mean commando is out of whack [in the sense of being overpowered]. Remember, not everyone here wants to be all combat...and on that note, some of us here also want to live longer than what most do just being a master commando

And on an unrelated note...commandos are not uber (while editing this..was thinking about above first sentence)..yet, we are regarded as so..why? because of taking up skills like TKM...i really do help when they limit stacked defenses..this will be eliminated, and dabbling restricted tocreating a well balanced out player (for instance, getting commando with pistol techniques for the Special defenses, to cover up our lack of special defenses) rather than an uber one (who can tank very good, and can make things go up in one hell of a shot, plus are very hard to kill for instance) the latter example is how many other community members precieve us, and they are gravely incorrect.

I am just saying how this makes the mis-conception. people see me in PvE and say "Wow, I need you to go PvP with me" and when I tell them I will but do not expect what you just saw to work PvP they typically dont believe me untill it happens.

TKA 0-3-0-4, and just yesterday, novice fencer again for the third time post-graul encounter.

Again, I am not saying anything about commando is overpowered, Im saying how we are not balanced in a way that we cant do what we do PvE in PvP. My damage was not very impressive, it was the buffs, armor, and defenses from my TKA that enabled me to do it. Enraged grauls took a god 3-6 shots to bring down and their resists did not effect my burn yet. My actula initial hit ws about 1000 after their 70% resist and the DOT was 1000 per tick. This wil not happen in PvP.

Taking up TKA defensees doesnt put you at that uber defense stacking level that has been mentioned and with our only having 35 or so Id say thats making up for a weakness just like what you mentioned with pistoleer status effect defense, the uber defenses mentioned are guyst that have 200+ melee/ranged and dodge. I agree we need more so I dont have to dablle to get this as badly and am keeping my levels at a reasonable level. (MTKAs Ive fought hit me every swing and KD/dizzy me easily, hence fencing comes in for moremelee/ranged defense and soon some pistoleer status defense. I will be at a 134 +/- melee/ranged defense while most professions asside from us accuracy is at well over 100. Rifleman 160 I belive and TKA 200+. And I agree that everyone shouldnt have to take all combat and they dont, but they should not expect to win on brute strength against an all combat class. Their only hope would be having healing and movement advantages. Everyone has a choice so if you want to play with the big boys, choose wisely. Not everyone wants to be pistoleer either. I merely made up for one of my weaknesses, defense. I still am lousy at range.

How they percieve us from this is not my fault. I am taking a badly broken profesion and making it usable, not mixing 2 working professions and stacking their best atrributes. (AKA MTK/MRM, Master fencer, master pistoleer) every time I decide to take more defenses I think about if I am going beyond the level that wil be maximum by what Ive seen in my experience PvP and where Im heading is still quite hittable, and I reiterate my point that PvE I acomplish fantastic feats that make people percieve me as overpowered and how I think it is wrongfully so. Thats why I brought up PvP. Im talking PvP vs PvE here not Commando vs X professions.
