Thread: The leftover 18 points

I'm trying to decide how I want to spend these remaining 18 points, so I've come here to look for some advice, opinions, persuasion. First and foremost, I do PvE 99% of the time with very limited PvP. I have TKM & MC. I've read, and thought about, picking up medic again just to heal myself that little bit; however, I'm toying with the idea of Rifleman 3/0/0/0 for the mindshot pools. My reasoning behind this is due to the devastation I've faced when battling any TK/Rifleman combos (gawd...fearful). Anyhow, would this be a waste of the points or is there some validity to it?

I understand what you are getting at. Take into account how often you would/could hit and the total costs of the special also the total damage you would do. I recommend you go medic simply because it will allow you to be more independant while in battle. As for myself I am a Master Commando and a TKA master with a the rest into Medic. With this combination I can easily tank most any mission.....also with 80% base armor though.......it's really up to you what direction you wanna go. MC TKA gives you alot of specials to choose from.

well, you said you do mostly pve so if you do pick up medic you can pick your incaped friends up (helpful on the corvette).

the master tk and commando ROCKS. Becuase yes ther eis any where from 12-15 seconds of delay between specials BUT.... You can use flame II unequip your wep and then you will take Melee damage (Hell of alot less) and you can watch your special bar as soon as the green Flame II starts to disapear you re equip and flame II them agian hehehe and so on and so forth.

I really like having Novice Any Basic Profession. Say I want to make a little cash with some harvestors, so I get Novice Artisan (for a big 100 credits), do some surveying and plunk down some harvestors. Then, sayI want to go hunting with some friends, so I surrender Novice Artisan and get Novice Scout and collect some meat or whatever. If I was going to the Corvette, I'd get Novice Medic instead. Or if my BF is too high and I don't want to go to Coronet (or my guild is having a party), then I can get Novice Entertainer and do a bit of dancing. It's a bit silly to have to stop by a trainer each time, but it's totally worth it.

...Seems like if you have 2 elite Masters, you should get all the basic Novices for free (perhaps without the ability to advance any further unless you spend the skill points for Novice).

After reading through all of the threads, I have come to the conclusion that it will likely be best to go with the Medical skills and forego illusions of grandeur with the Rifleman class. I was, however, highly impressed with the damage output by the TKM/MR that I had the misfortune of going up against last week. That is a devasting combination....perhaps I should cry NERF...a big just kidding of course. Thanks for the imput by those that responded.
