Just a while ago, I remember being flame single 2ed in pvp and having a burn dot that ticks for like 800 damage.
Now after I am commando my flame single 2 ticks for 350 at most or maybe more if the target is kded.
Was there a nerf to flame dot, or was it a bug? With the new fireblankets, I don't think flame dot really needed a nerf

It was nerfed. They increased the initial damage of the shot but decreased the DoT dramatically.

Thank heavens it happened too, poor combat medics had DOT competition! At least now they are supreme with their DOT's, and they SHOULD be! I mean, look at all the skill points they spend on combat!

Nerfed doesn't even begin to describe it.
Slaped whith a nerf stick being knocked off the nerf tree and hitting every nerf branch on the way down then being impaled on a nerf root sticking out of the groud is starting to get close...
Last time I was able to connect withflame single 2in PVP I think I got a 50 point burn on the guy... ![]()

The thing of that is our dots take a % of our initial hit so if they have heat resist armor on and you hit them for 1200 your dot will only do like 14% of that or something so if you hit high you will have a higher dot I was hitting Tuskens for 9k and was getting 300 and getting a lil bit better of a dot not much like maybe 400 tops.

as to the ariganel poster they took 90% of the dot and stuke it in intal dam and left the dot with only 10% of what it use to tike for
so now it takes 9 commandos to make one reall commando burn :/

I am not going to defend the obvious Nerf missing CMs on the DOT stuff. But Chemical warfare is air based, either seeps in through the skin or inhaled. Flames eat or HEAT up anything. Even in those flame retardant suits they have to test flamers, there is only SO LONG a person can withstand the heat without succumbing.
To mean, Flame is more destructive up front, and the chemical crap is more dmaging over time. I.E. A burn, A good solid burn should last only a very short while but for high dmg. While Chemical crap shoudl last a very long time but for less dmg.
Just my observation.
