Commando Archive

Commando was always fun to me. it was the first profession i mastered, and i never dropped it. Just saying the word made me feel cool. Very few have/had the master Commando title, so it was something to be proud of. Especially when someone dueled you thinking Commando sucked and you rocked thier socks...

But as much fun as i had with this profession...I'm sad to report that i am dropping Master Commando for Master Pistoleer

Now i'm not abandoning the profession all together, as i am still going to keep the explosives line.

It's just that during the CU Commando was fun as hell. hanging around the Commando city dueling Stern and the guys, having a blast admiring our new weapons...

But alot has changed since Beta. our weapons SAC is rediculous, max damage is laughable, grenades are a joke, AOE is screwed beyong reason, and our master level kick-ass weapon was hit by a nerf bat and is a high-end rare loot drop..and it doesn't even friggin work.

I recently got the Trando Supressor pistol with 1040 max dmg as well was 120 elemental, which is better than any of our weapons since they aren't too practical with thier horrible AOE. This pistol is fast, hard hitting, and a reasonable SAC cost. seeing a pistol that out damages a friggin rocket launcher or flame thrower showed me that Commando, as it is now, is a waste of skill points.

So for all of you sticking it out, a tip my hat to you. I've been with you through thick and through thin, buti've had it.Stern, you are doing an exceptional job, and if it wasn't for you and Garvin, our profession would be in worse shape.

I'm loving the proton rifle and Elemental damage fixes. they are a start. but until our rewards match our time and effort, this profession is a waste to me.
