Hey guys, just a question, Im currently a Master Commando, Master Rifleman.

Im also grinding the village. Im thinking of dropping Rifleman and picking up Smuggler.

So, in PVE, specifically against Village PVE, will Master Commando, Master Smuggler work?

Any comments will be great.

I don't know about village, I'm not grinding jedi yet, but otherwise im mcommando and 4333 smuggler, and I think it rocks.If/when they get aoe and elemental damage fixed, smuggler moves with heavy weps will be as far as I'm concerned "uber"

Would you care to test out a 400 year old sword to see if it's decayed to condition 0? All the prior testers have no comment. Perhaps a gun which was used in WW I and still fires with high accuracy upto 1km?

If that doesn't get you, then start reading current military specifications for combat equipment.

I know about the concussion shot change. It will be fixed to work the way it was meant to work. That is why I'm gonna pick up some pistoleer with my leftover xp to get the root shot from that proff. But Last ditch is too good a move to give up(onc I learn to use it right that is)

last ditch leaves you with 15 health. it seems to have a long warm up (without a bar) so the timinghas been tricky for me.

since commando area damage is borked - last ditch will only hit your direct target for a "large" amount of damage. you might want to try dueling with it and compare this suicide move against say advanced critical with a350+ dps scatter pistol. granted I don't have any post-CU flame throwers, all of my pre-CU krayted flamers converted to garbage.

I usually do between 400 to 600 points of damage with my flammer. I imagine it will increase alot with elemental damage fixed. I'd like to see either AOE fixed, Or give us some single target attacks with our heavy weps.

When they fix concussion shot, the commando/smuggler's main weakness, groups of ranged enemies will be shored up substantially. Instead of simply rooting these enemies in place while they pound on you anyway, you'be able to paralyze them en masse, then pick out an indiviual and go to town with a non heavy ranged weapon. Yes, the combo is great, and it's about to get better IMHO.

I love it. I'm Master Commando, Master Smuggler, carbine 0410, and pistoleer 0001.This is the best build i could come up with. The carbines line gives you a TON of much needed accuracy, and that 1 gives you a KD from charge shot. Very usefull with the AoE. Thelove being a smuggler aside from the moves it gives you. But it adds massive crowd control to the mix. Now as far as the last ditch thing, it's kinda like a what if thing. You'll never get it off. The attack misses 9 times out of ten. Believe me I had it with my rifleman build, and I had 383 accuracy and it STILL missed almost every time. So it's not very usefull in practice, it's just one of those things to say, man what if i could kill 15 people at once in one shot.Granted if it only worked 1 time out of 100 that you tried it, it might be worth the laugh to screen shot 10 dead bodies next to you lol.

i was tempted to be master smugler commando. and as much pistoleer as possible but the thing that turned me off was lack of damage, that build has great crowd control but doesnt do much damage... i think ill stick to my master bh, master commando, pistoleer 0004 or maybe pistoleer 0001 smuggler 0010

I think I've hit 3 out of 5 times with last ditch, and that's using a flame thrower. I think I'd have been more likely to avoid the loss with concussion shot and running. Only 1 of the 3 hits actually did a huge amount of damage (5600 vs CL 50 npc with my CL 80 toon.) The other 2 times were in pvp and the damage was more on par with advanced critical.
