I thought of this possible Pub 19 problem in another thread. I am not a MC/MRifle, so I can not test myself.
If I'm reading the patch notes correctly, with Sniper Shot now limited to 20+ meters, that means we can use the PFT with Sniper shot on targets between 20 and 25 meters only. I also recall that we get a message that you can't use weapons while prone if the target is too close....like say within 5 meters.
Can a Master Commando / Master Riflemen equip a PFT, go prone, fire Sniper Shot and see if you can shoot a target that is within 5m while prone?
If we can't then we can point out to the devs that they won't need to worry so much about commando/riflemen using Sniper Shot with a PFT being "unbalanced."
Even if we can, we will be VERY unlikely to use Sniper Shot effectively with a PFT since it has a 5m window where it would work, again making the Dev's concerns remote.

I can confirm that you can't fire the PFT under 20M. I was fighting dragons last night and I had to root them and then get within that magical 20-25m range and then go prone and then use Sniper shot. When it hit it was nice but after doing all that I had very little room to operate as you said...Basically for a dragon all it has to do is moe half an inch and it has closed that 5 m gap and I'm screwed.....I ended up only using my sniper shot with my rifle from 65m out and when the kryat would close on me I would switch and use my PFT for headshot/ranged shot ......

This is a fairly limited window, which should minimize (although not eliminate) the devs concern about commandos being "unbalanced" using sniper shot with the PFT.
