I'm sure the question is, am I getting a good gun or not because of all the changes. Thanks to everyone for posting your own stats we now know this.
Average
Flamethrower 423-814 5.0
HAR 318-704 5.4
Lightning Beam Cannon 1165-2505 7.0
Acid Stream Launcher 996-2938 5.2
Heavy Particle Beam Cannon 1981-3176 5.1
Still have yet to see a post on the new rocket launcher. Sadly the proton grenade cert wasn't altered to remove the specific metal requirement.
Average charges is around 30 which kinda sucks.
Range mods are still a bit weird.
Firing positions effect accuracy in unexpected ways.
Flamethrower is treated as a melee weapon still.
All in all. Good stuff.

Based on the numbers you listed that puts:
1.Flamethrower FT
Average 619
DPS 124
2.Heavy Acid Rifle HAR
Average 511
DPS 95
3.Lightning Beam Canon LBC
Average 1835
DPS 262
4.Acid Stream Launcher ASL
Average 1967
DPS 378
5.Heavy Particle Beam Canon HPBC
Average 2579
DPS 506
Now correct me if I am wrong but the damage increase on FT and HAR are nice but DPS wise I think I can actually do more damage with a tricked out DX2. It doesn't seem like the damage really starts to get "HEAVY" until you start looking at the LBC, ASL, and HPBC.

I think the special moves totally make up for the DPS factor. Just remember there is a long cool down after using the specials.

Got my new FT and HAR. I can't log in right now and get the stats, but the FT was doing between 850 and 1400 per hit without specials or slicingon the few targets I tested it on before I had to log. I think I love being a commando finally.....

Calculating DPS like that off the weapon means almost nothing in this game. Peeps get thier weapon skill up so high that I have seen many high level players firing at 1/second. Even rifles. One equation that is suppose to explain weapon speed skill influence on rate of fire (found in the Pistoleer FAQ) actually negates weapon speed as a factor as your characters skill reaches (100).

The DPS calculations seem acurate to me, but you aren't taking AP into consideration. An AP 3 weapon with a 300 DPS (just for example) will do more damage against targets, regardless of their armor class, than a 350 DPS with 0 or 1 AP. This is a very big day for Commandos. Thank you Devs. I'm finally starting to see that you have actually been paying attension.
