Can anyone tell me how the xp/per kill cap works with commandos? I know before I was a commando, I could get up to or slightly over 5k experience for a single kill, and now it's only 3k experience for a single kill. Does the lower cap kick in just for training novice commando...what's the deal?

Things that you kill do not have a set in stone exp value. If the thing is difficult, it will reward more exp for you, if it is easy less exp. If you are killing the same things that gave you 5k exp working up marksman and unarmed you are now more skilled with master marksman and novice commando skills. Just compare the exp you earned fighting your first mobs with your cdef pistol to what you get now to see.

I know this. The question is not whether or not xp rewards go down as you gain more skills, it's how much just being a commando at all affects that xp curve--and cap. Things that give 5k xp for a master pistoleer or swordsman give 3k to a novice commando, and no matter what a commando kills, the xp curve is such that it will never be worth much more than 3k--a dark jedi won't give much more xp than a bol. Once you start up the commando tree, the xp curve kicks in...hard.
