Dathomir. Thursday, 11:30 PM EST.

Having lost my speederbike to the automatic recall system (note to self: never buy vehicles from a Jawa again), I was left with no choice but to foot it back to the Trade Outpost... 1.8 kliks away.

As I marched through a very deep valley, which seemed to be about 80 meters wide, with almost 90 degree hill slopes that shot up to about 60 meters high, I found myself dodging trees and rubble as i went through it.

My radar, set to 256m suddenly flared with a hostile contact moving at high speeds straight towards me. In my experience fighting for the Alliance, only two things moved that fast: The mysterious teleporting creatures (its rumored creatures somehow became force sensitive. Luckily though, in the past months they have been slaughtered to the point few exhibit the trait) and a vehicle.

Whipping out my trusty Jawa Ion Rifle, I kneel and prepare to face any possible aggression. I looked up to my far right, where I knew whatever it was would be coming down from the top of the rightmost, 90 degree sloped, 60m high hillside.

Finally, I was able to target the incoming blip.. my radar targetting system identified it as an Imperial riding a swoop bike. And he wasnt very good at it, he kept bumping into trees. As he came closer and closer, from 100m to 80m... to 70m.. I realized that it was moving too fast for the Ion rifle to do anything, so I readied my rocket launcher.

64m, target is in range, moving very fast.. I cant see it as the hillside blocks it.. so I fire the rocket in self-homing mode.

60m, I see the rocket fly UP the hillside then THERE IT WAS, a swoop bike flying off the right hilltop and gliding towards the left hilltop..

and the rocket makes contact. Tremendous explosion.

Next thing I see is the Imperial man dropping like a rock and hitting the near-bottom of the left side of the hill. I swear i could hear a *thump* as he hit.

And that, General Doddonna, is why I wrote in my report that Pigs do indeed, Fly.

(his speederbike I believe autostored when the rocket hit. Was hilarious to see the standing character animation falling from such a height).

You know what I find funny... something VERY similar happened to ME the other night! There I was on my swoop leaving Anchorhead. It was a rare time for me and I was in OVERT mode. I was heading back to my player city when I saw a red dot pop up on my radar. I didnt think about it and figured I would just blow by it (thinking it was a red conning creature).

I got up to it, then past it and still no attack warning so I felt safe. Then it happend BAMMMM!!!! My swoop explodes into a big ball of flame and Im thrown from it! I immediately gather my wits, pull out the trusty flame thrower and run towards the aggressor! I think I made it about 5m when this imperial dropped me. He ran over and DB'd me without so much as a grunt. I sent him a tell just to let him know I was grieving he loss of my swoop He told me that I was going so fast he almost didnt get the shot off../sigh.
