Thread: how do you level commando in group hunts? w/o LP or FT?

Got a holo for Commando.... last holo was Chef, so this is quite a switch.
Anyway, when I go on group hunts and there is a commando, it seems everone yells at him.
1. "Don't use that launcher pistol, the lag is ruining it for the rest of us."
2."Don't use that flame thrower" (I'm assuming for taking all the xp?)
If people yell out you for using the flamethrower and LP, how do you grind commando then? Just ignore them, don't group hunt? What's the point of being a commando if people hate you for using your weapons?

Use your Flamethrower till you hit master. Ifanyone disapproves of it or bashes you, tell them to take it up with the Dev's, they made you that way.

hahaha. You don't. Go solo. Level up the flamethrower branch first. If you have a knockdown special in another prof, don't drop it until you absolutely have to. Once you get to flameIV, the rest will come easily. Just find heat vuln mobs, do knockdown/flamesingle2. You'll have one-hit kills all over the place. To level to flame IV, I hung out at Ft. Tusken. Use grenades on lairs for the combat xp.

lol. i mostly leveled (2040 - going on 2241 wheni surrender stuff) solo.
but i when i did go on group missions, i went with my guildies so no one said boo, and there were so many targets for all, it did not matter.
hehe so far my record for damage on a lair withflamer(the high damage seems to come only when the three spawns are done) is now 37k. that was cool. 37k left on the bar, then boom. i was with a novice marksman i was helping - he killed the pickets, i healed him and took out any agroing on him, then i killed the lair. (i do have finite patience lol)

I've got a question. How do you level in groups period? I usually find a relatively easy mob to take down and run missions for that mob.
In the case of the FT and one shot kills. Tortaur missions on talus is what I used to level up. Could knock out the entire mission in five min. Well within the time limit for the powerboost I was using to keep me alive. I averaged about 18-23k exp from each mission. And generally, tough tortaur bulls the exception, they fall in one shot. Just hold off on plugging the lair untill the spawn is at max until you get a good set of kinetic armor and flame cone one.

I became today novice commando, and i am now almost level 2 flame, i use it in sharnaff huntings, and no one tell me anything, except to not use it on lair, cause if i do, many sharnaffs spawn xD

You might wanna consider just standing back and lobbing grenades. The combat Xp is by far the longest to level and the grenades grant additional combat xp. The heavy weapons xp is cake to solo. Get yourself some nice kinetic resist armor, a full on doctor buff and go to Yavin. Hit every lair you run into. There's wall to wall critters there and they all hate your flamethrower. I leveled all 4 FT boxes in only a few hours on yavin. Don't even bother taking missions. There's an abundance of critters without having to run back and forth.

if your hunting on advanced worlds dont wory about stilling xp from your group becous they will by fare out dameg you on higher lvl mobs
but if yur hunting on lower lvl worlds then dont group all lower lvl mobs are esly 1 hit kills and esy lvling
let me put it this way
low lvl extreemly esy with no heat or armor resist
higher lvl with 50% armor = slow hared onying kill
