How did you guys go about mastering marksman (I have 4444), what I mean is how exactly did you go about getting the apprentice xp? Did you go to busy starports and /yell until your head bled or something of this sort? Also how good will I be as a Rodian commando (also novice pistoleer)? Will I need to migrate stats for the HAM requirements of the flamethrower or do I just need to keep my high action and stick to a launcher pistol?

ok even thouhg i am relativly mew to commando, i have seen these asked many times,plz search out previous posts 
ok: yes until flame II (yes II not IV) only use your LP. even by flame II, the FL is btr than the LP, even thoguh you miss etc, it will still kill yr mob faster.
i was told to get pistoleer for the initial advantage when useing the LP. i do NOT agree with this now, it might take a bit longer to lvl to flame II without the extra health shot II but save your pistol xp for when you really
want to persue pistoleer.
caveat: if you intend to go down the pistoleer path with commando then do this. OTOH, if like me, you like your novice ch + a couple boxes and medic + a few boxes, you will have to give up the pistoleer anyway as youclimb the commando tree.
AP xp: you should have been getting that since you had marks 2222, there are always players in the starports needing it. now though you will have to pay for it if u want it fast.
HAM makes no diff to FT use. i am a mon cal for crying out loud and have np. besides you usually get buffed for anything serious. it really makes no diff what race you r for most prof.

I would have to say I gained AP XP by:
(a) Being with hunting party members who wanted to level up while out hunting
(b) Cantinas: Seems people returning from PvP, PvE and hunting parties, need to heal their mind first after battles. Since they also get buffed in Cantina's the warriors stop here for sure.
(c) Making my profile seachable in SWG. Several people sent me tells because I was on the same planet they were on and needed to level up.
(d) Last resource - Yes, "hawking". The yelling advertisement that says "Teaching all Marksman Skills"
Just hang in there we all had to do it. You think yelling in the makrket is bad. It doesn't compare to completing Unarmed IV!
