Thread: Ideas: Commandos
I don't intend to suggest that these ideas are all that commando need to be fixed. They're just little ideas for enhancements. I start with suggestions for turret changes since they expand the number of possibilities for commando.
Ideas 7) Turrets:
Give them a proper ham bar, representing structural integrity, mechanical systems, electrical systems. Turret attacks would use mechanical and electrical systems. Turrets would be given a set of specials, including cone shot attacks.
Ideas 8) Commandos vs Turrets
The following ideas might also be applied to vehicle combat.
Armour break. Only works on turrets. Advanced version available in master box has a significant increase in power, perhaps tripling damage done to turrets.
Energy drain. Combat slow for machinery. Reduces firing rate of turrets and droids - currently, and nonsensically, droids can be slowed by thyroid rupture and (I think) concussion shot. This should be changed (it makes some sense that you can concuss a droid, by they don't have a thyroid to rupture
)
Electrical Disruption/Mechanical Disruption. Reduction in the respective ham pools regeneration rates.
Detonation Pack. A series of timed charges at the base of the turret. Essentially a dot (a powerful one - 2-3k damage per tick, at least)
All these abilities would only be applicable at close range.
