... before the storm
I have teached Master Commando to 3 Players in the last 2 days.
Are our numbers rising?
I bet they are all smelling a FOTM with commando now.
Prepare for an assault on our beloved Commando Board and prepare for the encounter of other flamethrowers out in the field.

Right now you can pick up some pretty good heavy weapon CA's and AA on the vendors, usually in the 2 mill price range. Now is the best time to get fully AA'd up before commando becomes more popular and the prices start rising.

That is...if the new specials get their damages increased significantly. The immediate future is still uncertain, but so far we got a great step towards the realization of being a damage dealer again. So yes, we'll probably get a surge of new folks...but like the last time that happened, expect some to drop it when they realize we're not a FOTM.
If we get dangerously close to FOTM...then, well it'll be a "plan B" to ensure that we dont get nerfed down the road. To be frank, we've never really had to resort to a Plan B before...

hehe
I thought with commando all "Plan B's" were built into our weapons.

Plan B usually refers to when we become a FOTM, what we do in order to preserve the integrity of this forum (from the band-wagoners) and prevent a nerfization of the profession.
I can only recall the use of it once, during our golden age 2 months after launch...of Plan B being acted upon. Unfortunately, we got nerfed
What was built into our weapons, isn't worthy of a "plan". To be honest, Im sick of being told..."oooh we have lots of utility; we're useful because we can stack; oooh this is better than actual functionality and damage"
Its a myth about the profession that I think really gives an inadequate perception of what we're all about, what we've been through, and where we want to head into the direction to become.
