Thread: There *is* something for Commandos in patch 18
actually thats incredibly insulting... this idiot who clearly cant measure distance when its right next to him, and is quite the coward, can destroy this "huge" uber spider (i havent seen it yet but i bet its quite tough, though jedi-soloable, naturally) with a simple thermal detenator... ofcourse if any of us tried that, we'd have to sit down and wait 10 minutes before doing anything else, cos ya know, throwing a nade is incredibly hard work... and dont forget, it wont be harmed in the slightest ![]()
ahhh the joys of commando!
hey is this actually my first post? i dont remember ever bothering to reply before... woo for me

I have read that illegal thermal detonators carry more baradium (spelling?) in the core producting a larger total vaporization radius. Basicly the thermal detonator operates by exploding the core creating a sphere of annihilation and then collapses in on itself for a blast, if I remember correctly. Will have to check my resources after this.
Imperial Standard Issue has 5m vaporization radius.
Rebel Alliance ones can reach 20m.
A large criminal one may have as much as 100m radius.
Just double checked my resources, here is the original source:

So we can have a smuggler slice our grenades so we can aggro 100m of MOBs?
Would be cool though if once grenades actually are worth using a smuggler could increase the radius.
It had to have been post CU. Any of you veteran Commandos know that if it was pre CU he would have incapped himself.![]()

Not only that, but the target would run TO YOU, you throw your grenade, it MISSES the target, but the blast radius ALWAYS hits YOU, and you therefore get INCAPPED.
The devs love Commando. They love to beat the living bejeezus out of Commandos.

It probably should be:
Ionly survived because someone else threw my lucky thermal detonator!
