Thread: Cert acid rifle beam, and the Heavy Acid Rifle. Difference, or none?
Greetings,
This is a simple question I have about the cert acid rifle beam, and the Heavy Acid Rifle. For certifications for Novice Commando, it lists a series of weapons, including the cert acid rifle beam. Now, I bought a Heavy Acid Rifle, mistaking it for the cert acid rifle beam. But recently I looked at one of the certifications in the skill tree for Commando, and one of them is "Heavy Acid Rifle certification". I think it's for Heavy Weapons Support I, or II, I'm not sure which. Now, I equipped my Heavy Acid Rifle, and it didn't give me the message "You are not certified for this weapon, therefore the damage will be reduced when you use it". My question is, is there a difference between the weapons, or are they the exact same weapon? If they're the exact same weapon, why can youeventually be certified for a Heavy Acid Rifle in the Commando skill tree? Is this a bug? If someone can answer this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The acid streamlauncher is totally different more dmg and more delay. It has charges that work like a grenade when fired. One blast from the streamlauncher and back to the main weapon. As for the acid beam rifle your talking about....maybe someone changed the name cause im not sure if it exists.
Obevacca (radiant)
Beam Rifle = cert no one has
Heavy Acid Rifle = Acid column
Acid Stream Launcher = charges, heavy weapons column
Thank you all for your replies. I appreciate it. This has helped greatly.
