How do i get more shots for my heavy particle beam?

buy a new one.

Am new to the area so I figured i'd ask....how many shots does a good one have?

Ask WS about custom one.

master Ws have 10 points to tweak and 3 options (well maybe 4. does you pay HAM cost when you fire these days=) on heavy weapons.

§1 damage/speed/wound/radius.

§2 HAM costs

§3 ammount of charges

§4 ideal range bonus

in normal case most of points are dumped into §1 and few last ones goes to §3. if you want something else ask for custom made.

Would using aim first help land the shots?

You cant use /aim with any of the heavy weps....someone correct me if that's wrong. When you activate the charged heavys it drops you to a knee and fires it. I tried to set up a macro for using /aim with it, but it never seemed to work. Ivoni?

I used aim last night on a Kimo Hatchling and it worked. However I'm not totally sure if ithad anything do with landing a shot, but I do notice that my bonus went up from +0 to +6 then to +30 because I was at 48m to the target. The reason I say this is that you get +29 (at least thats the bonus on my weapon)to hit if you are at 48m (which is ideal). I should have had a +36 to hit then.
