Thread: Great Story, no relation to commando except I am one :p
Me and an imperial friend were standing around in the imperial air base near bela vistal (not sure if this base exists on all servers or just sunrunner)we were watching a "neutral" who was exploreing the base. My friend disapeared and I continued following the covert rebel.
He turned and asked "do you really think I'm that stupid" I replied "do you really want me to answear?" and he said "no thats ok, I think I know what you were about to say" after craking some jokes about the rebel useing /forcemindread I said "actually I would have said no
" he said "ah, then please forgive my earlier rude remark
" in group chat my friend said "just a little closer and the covert faction scanner I just set up in our HQ would uncover him" and so I said in say "hey, you want to see something really cool?" the rebel said "sure" so I lead him strait to the entrance of our imperial HQ with the cover faction scanner right behind the wall... Well he had sevral dozen storm troopers gunning him down in about 3 seconds while I pretended to be pre-occupied with the minefield right outside the entrance. I told my imperial friend not to DB him, it was a dirty trick, funny as hell but still dirty. I pre-ceeded to bitch out the npc that ignored my orders and DBed him anyway. Turns out not all rebels are jerks
he turned out to be a cool guy, we laughed about it in sends while he gathered himself up and brought some friends back for a friendly little fight. Well I got incapped and was at his complete mercy when he walked up and said "you live", and didn't DB me. This is when I decided he really was cool
Then the STs spawned and the rebel players were taken out in a few seconds of firefight. We let the npcs DB them so they wouldn't lose faction points and now were going to plan a larger fight between friends on neutral ground (or a bg) without DBs.
I guess the morale is. Just cause hes your enemy, doesn't mean he can't be a friend you get to beat up once in awhile ![]()
You know theres a crazy rumor going around that this is just a game? That everyone in it is just here to have fun? Why play by even the games rules when we can invent our own?
I like that, I think thats my new signiture ![]()
Actually, as I understand it, it's linked to a tremendously huge computer called 'Annoyance One' which rests in the basement of the Emperor's Cousin's Retreat (on Corsucant, in the low rent district) which contains videotape of every single being in existance (from all angles and in all disguises) and it can match up your picture with known rebel sympathizers. It's like Disney Security, only fewer stormtroopers.
The only explanation that makes sense is usually wrong.
Lynch
It scans your DNA and compares it to known rebel/imperial records (simply BEING a rebel or imperial makes you a KNOWN rebel or imperial) in its database and reports to nearby friendlys its results of the matchups. This IS a science fiction game guys, last time I checked we don't have giant walking metal chickens shooting lasers out their beaks ![]()
^and yeah that explaination is the truth, thats what the it says when you examine a scanner
Cool story hehe. I'm usually am pretty cool to people I fight, and if they kill me I don't take it personal. Most people are suprised when they actually talk to someone who can take their licks without hate spamming them for the next 10 minutes. I was fighting this Imp the other day, and we were talking in tells for a little bit and theconversation was friendly. Well later on, he found me doing missions and I had a couple faction pets out. I was working on a stormtrooper camp when all of a sudden he comes over the hill blasting. I got incapped, and had to watch him torch both of my pets to the ground before he db'd me. Friendly tells are one thing, but a dirty Imp isa dirty imp ![]()
