Hi

Well I am wondering how to tell exactly what an armor's HAM cost will be before you buy it and can equip it. It seems as though that the armor descrition only gives the Health Action and Mind cost, but when you actually equip ANY armor all of the other stats are lowered as well.

Am I correct in my assumption that if a piece of armor has a Health cost of "100"/Action cost of "100"/Mind cost of "100" (equal numbers only for sake of argument) does it also mean that the secondary AND tertiary stats below each "main" stat are ALL lowered an additional "100" ???

Correct. however I think it only lowers 2nd and tertiary stats not the actual damage pools themselves.

My thoughts;

Not yours.

No the encumbrance only effects your sub-stats.

Lets say you have a helm that does has HAM encumbrance of 100 for health mind and action. This would reduce your Strength, Constitution, Quickness, Dexterity, Focus, and Willpower by 100. The actual pools (what you take damage too) remain un affected.

Armor can reduce your regeneration rates and increase the damage you take for performing actions like useing stims or special attacks.
