I think that's good.

I personally would want a Master Smuggler slicing my weapons, but your set up let's you slice your own on almost as good a basis (and certainly makes it more convenient for you). With the smuggler pistol moves, your launcher pistol should be a pretty decent ranged attack. (At closer distances the FWG 5 does more damage, faster, and with lower HAM costs than the LP, but at such short distances you have your your commando weapons anyway).

Thw only question for me in terms of playablility is "Why Master Commando?" But that's more just sour grapescoming frommy being one myself.

Its a tough choice for me Im currently commando 0040 and smuggler 0440. I picked commando on the gamble that it will be fixed and LP will have its own tier, but that might be a pipe dream. Do u think master smuggler would make a better choice? I just didnt pick it because of the spices, although it would be a way to earn extra credics. Thx for the imput. I would like to hear more.

In no way do I believe that the 29pts you have in terrain neg. are a good thing. Climbing speed is convient, nothing more. Definately not worth the price of admission. Did you realize that if you pick the correct angle on an incline, you can travel at close to normal speed? Sure it is not straight up the hill, but it is light years better then spending 29pts that could be used on things that will actually keep you alive.

Mster Commando

Sniper (for the mind bleed)

Smuggler 0440 (for pistol with my LP and slicing to not only be convenient but to make money)

Medic 1030 (for stim C's)

Total Skill Points = 249

I thought that you needed box four to use stim C's? Anyway, some other things to consider are; Master smugglers get another bonus to slicing, so once this becomes common knowledge, you will not be making lots of money slicing. Also, it looks as if eye shot is going to get moved to master smuggler (a mistake in my opinion, all they need to do is change the timer or the HAM cost), So, the pistol skills in smuggler might not be the best way to go.

My advice would be to pick pistol or rifle and focus on just that one as your secondary attack. It is true that you gain alot of strength and versitility by jumping around professions, but you still need focus.

Hope that helps.

First of all, you can use Stim C's with just pharm 3 as long as they've had ease-of-use experimented a little. Secondly, smugglers don't even get eye shot so I wouldn't worry about that nerf. Smugglers have Last Ditch.

Oops. Sorry about that. Still early for me.

First, I would suggest conserving the 14 skillpoints from the Slicing line and invest them in oitherplaces. Masters are better at slicing than a level 4 is, albiet not by much - it's worth it, in my opinion, to pay a few creds to have a Master slice up your gun with the knowledge that it will probably be a point or two better than you would have gotten.

Second, sniper is, unfortunately, a fairly useless combination with Commando. The two classes hit completely different pools - applying a mind bleed to a critter then hitting it with flames or whatever is kind of pointless. Sure, there's the PvP aspect and the whole "mind can't be healed" arguement, but think for a minute - in PvP, dying doesn't matter. The only way to remove an opponent from the fight is to wound them until they are no longer combat-effective. The best way to do that, at the moment? Fire, plain and simple. In PvE your flame DoT will so totally outdamage the mind bleeds you might apply that it makes the bleeds little more than a waste of your time.

So, if you drop Slicing and drop Sniper, you've got 35 more points (the 34 you free and the one leftover you had) to stick into yourself. I would suggest that Exploration 1 (If not 3) is a must. That's 17 skillpoints down, 18 remaining. From there, it's up to you... maybe take Pistoleer for the Health bleeds... maybe take Pharmacology 4 so you can use Stim D's...

My favorite thing to do with those 18 SPwouldbe dropping First Aid 1 and taking TKA Meditation to 4. That'll let you heal your own bleeding/disease/poison and wounds without a medic, as well as giving you the Force of Will skill, which is great for PvP and PvE alike (itallows you to get up immediately from incapacitation but sets you to 1 on all your HAM).

combat medics have us beat in that regard. ever been diseased? its incredible. i had my CM friend disease me to get another friend of ours some cheap medic xp. in a few minutes, i had 1 health and action. add to the fact that CM's can disease you while you're incapped (for now) and can also disease the mind pool, they are the most effective in taking someone out of the fight.

and for pvp, i was thinking of picking up some rifleman skills as well. the only way to buff your mind pool right now is with spice or foods. you can watch a master dancer for a while, but that buff lasts way too short. if you bleed a medic in the mind, theywill prollyspend their time giving themselves first aid and not attacking you. if they don't, then there goes their mind pool, and you can attack them without the fear of them healing. you can't always get within that 16m to use your specials. and if you miss, its a few more seconds that you can't attack. sticking mind bleed on someone isn't all that bad IMO.
