I made 90% of my HW XP of theseMOBs and made Master Commando fairly quickly. I'll try to make this post as clear as possible.

-Go to Dantoonie Imperial Outpost. Rebels, dont go overt. You can get there from either Corillea or Naboo.

-If you're ahigh level CH or have an AT-ST like myself, grab two 13k missions and go solo them.

-Stick your pet on the lair and the Bols will attack your pet.

-The Bols will bunch up around your pet which is next to the lair. Flamecone theLAIR over and over. You will set most of the Bols onfireby the splash DOT effectand they will burn to death from the DOT and your splash damage. Sometimes a lone Bol will decide to start attacking you. As soon as this occurs. Stop attacking the lair yourself, and stick your pet on it and then run through your pet. Usually the bol will then aggro your pet. Once your free of attackers. Put your pet back on the lair, and return to Flamecone1'ing the lair.

-Around 3k HW and about 300 combat XP on each Bol. Plus 13k creditsfrom destroying the lair. If you need more combat XP than HW XP, bring a crate of grenades with you and alternate a grenade throw with a flamecone special.

-If you dont have a good tanking pet. There are usually a good number of people around forming hunting parties. If you're lucky, they will be hunting bols exclusivly for the high mission pay out.

-Since the bols have high resists to everything except heat, you will still recieve a good portion of HW XP, around 2500-2800.

-*Be warned*. Group members might get mad at you for jacking their XP. Try to be cool about it and dont go around bragging how much XP your getting per Bol.

After I got the hang of things, I was able to solo2 Bol lairs within 15mins (depending on distance). Fromcompletinga singlemission,i would get around.....

18k Heavy Weapons XP ( 6 Bols / 3000XP each )

2,700 Combat XP ( 6 Bols / 300 XP each )

13k credits.

Not bad I would say.

I agree the Dantooine is a great place to get HW exp. The planet is almost completely flat, which is great for those who have had to give up Exploration for other skills. Plus Voritors and Bol Crushers will both give around 3000 exp each and are very easy provided you have a tanking pet. Mission pay is quite good too.

I like Bols better. Voiters will aggro you and they have disease attacks and heat resistance. If the HAR worked like the FT they wouldnt be such a big problem though.

An even better choice for combat XP, and HWs XP on dantoine are grassland voritors with glop grenades.

Even better XP is to go to Dantooine and take Huurton Matrons apart... better still, go to Endor and shred the Pubams/Panshee/Ewoks or go to Dathomir andbecome the progenitor of a minor genocide against the Baz Nitches.

Maybe those are better exp (Ewoks and Baz Nitches) but they are both aggro mobs and Bol Crushers are not which is a huge plus to me. Plus Dantooine is flat and the other planets are completely littered with hills all over the place.

I used to tell alot of novice commandos about how effective hunting on dantooine was. All I got was disbelief.

How about commandos that dont have pets??? Any toughts???

I would have to agree with killing "Seething Bol's" on Dantooniee. All you have to do is 1 flame dot hit on them and they will die or almost die.

Seething Bol's never ever have DB. So if you get in-caped the Seething Bol's are still on fire, and burning. You just get back up and kill them, if they are not died already.

However, I find useing a FWG5 better. Using Warning shot and stacking bleeds. (they can't get near you to hit you if you use warning shot)

OR

Useing a Flame thrower to fire dot them....and than use Warning shot (with a pistol) to make them run for the hills..works as well

Seething Bols aren't deathblowers, no. That is, admittedly, the problem with Dathomir and Endor - everything's red and everything deathblows, but if you're willing to chance it you'll find yourself getting far more XP. You'll also find yourself getting far more XP by getting a decent pet and using that to tank, since you'll never have to wait the 100+ seconds on the incap timer.

For non CH's, either tank your chances with Seething Bols or head to Rori and kite Leviasqualls like all us pre-buff commandos did - they're still a decent source of XP with relative ease.

for those that don't have tanking pets, you're stuck going to rori and taking on leviasqualls and midnight vir vurs. that's what i did, and i'd rake in about 200k hw xp in about 3-4 hours. and this was b4 the patch. my launcher pistol was toast after i got master.

Yah, Dantooine is a nice place to get those xp's and credits. I kinda gave up on it after getting incapped too much and not having a tank to take any hits.

But on 10/2/03, I went to my usual place to hunt, Rori. Getting those leviasqualls... lucky day for me to hunt... before the day ended, I mean I played 9hrs straight, I was at 3/1/4/4 in the commando tree. So let's see, the HSW tree is 200k+300k+400k=900k, now that's a lot to pull off in one day.

Well, here is the word lucky gets thrown in. There was a lair that's not typicl to your leviasquall warren. It spawned, count it, 15-18 leviasqualls. Now for every 5, its about 9.35k xp. So, I basically was getting 27k out of this thing... but unfortunately there were only 5 of these things, but boy does it help in between your missions.

It would've taken my less hours if I hadn't walked around in home watching tv while taking a break from the game.

But anyway, after that, I got Master Commando!

I wish I'd had done most of my hunting in Dant cuz I knew of the potential there, but that place is just too rough going solo. I like group hunts, but people do complain about a commando taking most of the points.
