I've missed twice in a row on numerous occassions, but 3 is my record, just lucky to survive that long is really what it amounts to though.

It doesn't matter if you hit them or not, they absorb 90% of the damage anyways

Within 16m for flamesingle2? 4 misses. Outside 16m with regular shot? infinity... I had a TKM running around in front of me for about 3 minutes and I hit him once for -73 action damage (he was fully buffed too). I cheered at myself and logged out.

If flamethrowers weren't doing melee damage then a TKM won't be absorbing any damage at all.

Yup, if they do indeed change FTs to ranged damage, commandos will do much more damage to TKAs. Right now, a TKA in 50% composite will take only 12.5% damage from a FT (1/2 for AP0 vs AR1, 1/2 for 50% resists, 1/2 for unarmed toughness). Unarmed toughness is a bit more than 50% actually, but you get the idea.
