Im currently a pistoleer, but Ive seen the range KD and the power of last ditch and Im thinking about going up the dirty fighting tree. JUst would like to know some of your suggestions.

DF won't give you any accuracy or speed mods, that's probably the only downside.

That is the way I see it too. KD+Panic is the better combo btw.

But, you will prob. want to get some of the bonuses from pistol. Otherwise, you are just going to get pissed when you don't connect with your knockdown.

Get the smuggler pistol tree. Ranged knockdown > melee knockdown.

Train novice pistoleer and as much of the tree with the speed additions as your can (I forget which it is atm).

1) As far as I know grenades are the only weapon in the game that you can hurt yourself with. This should stop.

2) Increase the area of effect to reflect the real spacing of things in the game.

3) Increase accuracy and range

4) Add special effects beyond just the damage type. Such as cryobans doing stun from the cold. Glops doing a poison dot from the poison. Thermals and protons doing a heat DOT like the flamer.

Pistolleer also gives you defenses against stun, KD, Dizzy, etc. That said, KD and Panic are awesome.
