Fellow Commandos…
As many of you have noticed, recently my name has undergone a transformation from white to blue. Thunderheart contacted me last week asking if I would be interested in becoming the new Commando Correspondent. I told him I would take the position under one condition. That when LordS fully recovers and returns to the Commando fold, if he so desires, he will retake the position as our Correspondent. Personally, I have wanted to be the Commando Correspondent for a very longtime, but the way LordS left, he deserves the chance to come back and we all know he was doing a great job while he was with us.
Over the next week I hope to start several new threads. Our Top 5 post has been cluttered and lost a bit of its focus since it was begun several patches ago, our 10 Questions remains unanswered and needs updating as well, and we are in need of an updated State of the Profession. My overall goal will be looking at a future revamp, while at the same time getting us some love in the form of Mini-Publishes.
Many Commandos have lost faith. Many Commandos have become bitter. And why shouldn't they be? Before LordS, we lost 2 Correspondents because they felt they were not being listened too. Since Beta, how many substantial changes have we seen? And when we got a substantial change, how long did it last before we saw a NERF? How often have we brought our issues to the Dev's only to hear "Wait for the Combat Rebalance" or "Commandos are working as intended" or "Commandos are not meant to be Gods"?
Those who have read my posts in the past and know me in game know that I am a very passionate Commando…and that passion tends to get noticed. Just because I am the new Correspondent doesn't mean that I will be toning down that passion in anyway, in fact, I'll most likely be turning up that flame (TH are you sure you know what you're getting yourself into?

LOL).To get started first I have to play a bit of catch up. I have to read just about every post in the Correspondent's forum to get myself up to speed. I need to get my character upgraded to a Master Commando on Test Center. I need to pick some Dev brain (yes people, they have them…no knocks needed here) and find out how much they know of our issues and how much they understand where we want our Profession to go. When I have information I can post I WILL POST IT!!!
But if I am going to do this job right I will not be doing it alone. This forum is NOT made up of a bunch of amateurs. I know for a fact that some of the best players in the game read and respond in this forum and I will be tapping that wisdom constantly for help and support. I am not the power here, I am only the voice…Together we will be heard!!!!

Finally! Our plight is heard! I've been a supporter of commando since I've join and I fell in love with the big bangs and mayhem a commando does. So I wouldn't be adverse to a few changes in the system.

Garvin,
For a quick fix, ask for the following 3 items.
1) Make FT AR3. Keep dmg, and speed.
2) Make HAR AR3. Keep dmg, and speed.
3) Make it actually happen.
I would've asked for the pre-nerf flame DOT, but I've gotten used to it.

Congrats Gavin. I hope soon someday I may return to the commando ranks again, and actually be effective, and needed in PVP.

agree 100%
i have made my way through most combat profession forums and the commando forum is by far filled with the most knowledgable and experienced players. we have some great ideas on how to fix our profession, and realistic ones too!!

If soe asks about my issue about not paying my monthly fee, im going to tell them "That will be addressed at the combat revamP."
