Should i go for it? Im 14k away from mastering marksman compleatly (Carbines is all i have left) And i also have Unarmed 4 finished too. Im trying to decide if i should take commando, or go for something eles. If i should go for something eles.. tell me what

It really depends on what you want to do in the game, and what your expectations are for the profession. Commando is fun, but it is not the PVP or PVE trump card, by any means. In PVP commando is only mildly useful. Flame is 90% ineffective, and you need to be in melee distance for your flamer to do the most damage. Commando is the only ranged profession that can be kited. In PVE, you can still be outdamaged by riflemen, and sometimes even pistoleers. I love commando, but I am considering dropping it until it is given more damage and more defenses for all the skill points it uses up. If you really love the idea of having a flamer, then by all means, you should take novice commando, and try it out for yourself.

Well, I think its a blast. But like the other guy said, not much use in PvP. IMO, it's great in PvE, though. I keep my guild-mates jaws dropping on hunts with my 10k+ dmg.

It is a lot of skill points though.

If you PvP, definetely not. If you are PvE, then it is a lot of fun... for the most part. Right now though you really have to have a great love for the proffession due to its state. But I and other still enjoy it at least most of the time.

i really have to dissagree with the statement that commandos cant PvP, today i earned 2k faction points in alittle under 3hrs, i one hit the guys and they were in FULL composite armor. im only 2/1/4/0. PvE is even better though, yes, i too often see jaws dropping. so, whatever role you want to play, commando is a good choice. despite having only one useful weapon. try commando out yourself, then decide, but if you dont want to make a bad decision, ill tell you, GO COMMANDO
