Hi all. I have, so far, only mastered a few professions (as I just started this game about 2 months ago)... Scout, Pistoleer and Fencer. With some of the new content that is supposedly on the way, I would like to find a decently fun profession to play... but is rather difficult to get through. I thoughtCommando or Bounty Hunterwould be a perfect fit. However, I would also like to have a profession where I'm relatively decent at soloing in a PvE setup. I hear that there will be further nerfs to the BH class, so I guess the reason I'm writing this is to ask everyone's opinion on whether it would be a good idea to start down the Commando profession line... or do something else?
I would appreciate any help you could provide.
Thanks!!

To be honest PvE proficiency and good old fashioned Fun are the only two things worth taking Commando for. We're very ineffective in PvP now.
But if it is to have fun (and god it's refreshing to see someone after fun instead of another step towards jedi), then yes, throwing fiery balls of death and setting fire to things is incredibly fun. You will be good at PvE although you'll want to balance it with another fighting profession to get the most out of it, especially in terms of defense bonuses.

I was a commando on my 2nd account and loved it....for a while.
However theyre much better at dealing dmg than taking it.
If youre gonna do commado I highly reccomend you get a 2nd profession thatll give you some defense.....if you have enough points left....I dont even remember how many points goes into it.
I'm sure these guys know.

Yeah, I play commando for fun and PvE. PvP is totally nerfed. When a person with bare fists can kill 2 people with flamerthrowers and full armour/buffs, it's unbalenced. Though I like the bangs and flame and the general "blow stuff up" theme.
