I'm a master commando and will be a MBH tonight when the CU goes live on Chiliastra. I have 34 points left and I've narrowed it to either Carbines or Squad leader. I've heard carbs give good attacking power, but SL has sweet defenses.

HELP ME PLEASE...THIS DECISION IS KILLING ME!!!!!!

Has anyone tested both on TC? Any advice you testershave would be welcome.

This is a tricky one. But you do already have some nice specials in BH. You also have to remember with the action bar there is only so many specials you can do. SL x4xx probably has the most defenses out of any 1 branch. Not only that but now you can do the SL terminals in a base take down. The other option is get pistoleer xxx4. This gives you pretty good defenses, not as good as SL, but you do get improved stopping shot and improved fan shot.

Oh and I did test MCommando, MBH, and SL x4xx. This was really solid build and you can tank like crazy which is really really nice if you are the damage dealer. However I ended up getting pistol xxx4 for the stopping shot. This is just really nice to have for when things run either to you or away from you.

cant remember if its carbineer 0400 or 0040 but leg shot is a pretty high damaging shot and is very nice.

I'm looking for a build that will help me take on jedi, that is why my tendency is toward the defense side. Is stop shoot just a high dam special or does it give you the ability to root your foe? Anyone have any ideas?

Go Pistoleer 0/0/0/4. It'll give you more defense and also that root attack - you can't survive vs. melee without root.
