Thread: A way to add mele moves to comando???

This is just a idear, and it occured to me today while grinding my toon up. I dont know if its been suggested before either.


Bayonets

This could be as simple as fixing a combat knife, to the end of our wepons, allowing mele moves to be used at close range.

or you could get 'firearm strike' from pistoleer. someone said that it is an aoe effect with our weapons. a bayonnette would becool, though it is probably too much to ask for.

true but i was thinking of a way to use the unarmed moves from brawler, and maybe add a nice bleed dot too


would look ace, some of our wepons with Bayonet lol

Well...


Let me check this out tomorrow and get back to you. I haven't tried firearm strike on a crowd yet, but it is helpful when you get rushed by a mob. I would think doing a firearm strike andfollowingimmediately with a stopping shotwith a PFT would be pretty ugly from the recieving end, and would make crowd control a lot of fun. I melee with my commando quite a bit in PvE because a lot of the mobs will do the teleport thing when you hit them with a proton rifle, and a bayonet would be super.


If you want to melee with your commando try this template:


Master Commando/Master Pistoleer/Brawler 4400/Novice Smuggler/Medic 0030 (or usethese skillpoints where you want) The melee defense you will get is quite good, though you will lack on speed a little bit.


Now get yourself a decent onehanded melee weapon, I have a blackscale stun stick and an acid sword that both work really well. You will have a bleed attack and a melee KD as well, so it can be useful. A few AA's for general melee or one-handed speed and accuracy make a big difference to if you can find and afford them.
