Me personally I like crafting, and I like grenades, but it is hard to find weaponsmiths who stock lots of nades, i think the correspondent should push for grenade crafting to be made a commando thing again. I would love to craft my own grenades. That way i could be combat but get that little bit of crafting i need when im bored of combat.

i wouldn't mind that, as long as weaponsmiths still *could* craft them. crafting is not enjoyed by everyone, but i can see how it would be nice to make your own stuff, once in a while.

id love to be able to craft my own nades, however, thisd probably mean we'd then need 4000 in artisan... thats another 29 SP i dont have to waste ![]()
if we could do it without any new skill boxes needed, great, but i dont see that happening... just like i dont see them letting us make grenades anyway. no doubt itd be a "taking away the business of a weaponsmith" type thing, not that many bother with nades much

I kind of like it. We should not need any artisan, look at the proposed ranger, or even the existing scout/ranger. Lots of crafting there. As for Weaponsmiths, that is an issue, though I am on the side of thinking they probably won't miss it on a whole. Once Commandos can make them, and it is the only thing we have to worry about crafting, hopefully some commandos go into the business of producing them, increasing the availability to the commandos who don't get into crafting.

Bad idea, methinks.
it would be tricky enough to find the components for crafting, plus youve got to shell for the expensive crafting units if you want to make good ones. on top of that, the only way you could put enough experimentation into them for them to be effective is to master weaponsmith, which if i do my math correctly would require you to give up commando. better to start a second toon who is a weaponsmith and have him do all of your crafting.

I havent been a master commando too long, i used to dabble in commando, but if im not mistaken waaaaay back in the day commandos had a row for their own nade crafting with exp and assembly mods. that where those grenade exp SEAs come from. I could be wrong tho, but i think we did craft our own nades in the past

Long, LOOOONG ago...back in the original SW Beta. The last vestiges of the system was partially taken out in launch, then fully taken out a bit after (only had schematics at that point).
If the schematics can be simplified to the point of what ranger's are going to be making their traps (its not just traps they make from bones, they can make explosives so why not us?) then I say go for it. But right now they're complex; merely getting them easier to produce for the weaponsmiths will be a pretty big goal, let alone getting em easy to craft, good, and crafted by us.
I think, it would be best to wait and see how good ranger's explosives are when the time comes, especially considering the dev's really have no plans on revamping our grenades in their current schedule...
