Thread: Looted Commando Weapons

Here's something I've not seen posted before. Anyone remember the commando weapons at launch? WS crafted FTs weren't much better than the 14-154 6.8 looted / Imp Theme park reward weapons. You could get them to around the 50-200 5.5 mark, not much better. Of course they then changed the WS stats on -all- Commando weapons other than the LP, disposable or otherwise. The loot ones are still exactly the same though. What's the problem, you ask?

I saw an Exceptional FT once. It was about 600 max damage at 5 speed. I just bought 5 off a vendor that were 820 max, 4.6. So Commando even gets shafted in loot.

Is it possible for Commando loot to be altered so if some lucky bastich loots an Exceptional weapon, it is actually better than a WS made one?

maybe you could gte a csr to look at that flame thrower and maybe they would change it.

Nice DPS on that, but gets slaughtered by mitigation.

Mitigation? Everything burns.. and that Health DOT will eat people up. I don't see a downside to this weapon (except for it's condition), it's ungodly. This thing would dominate PvE and PvP like no other flame thrower before it.

There was a legendary flamethrower that somone found on sunrunner I think a few months ago. It was probably the sickest flamethrower ever. You should be able to find it if you do a search in the commando forum.



Ancient weapons and hokey religions are no match for a rocket launcher in your backpack.

It's actually got a lower damage at the same speed than that Exceptional one. 65-720. Only thing better is the DOT, 580 Str Action Poison @ 800% Pot, 1171 dur.

Note that the range modifiers for these are all dire.

Judging by the damage on these examples of Legendary and Exceptional Flamers.. I would have to answer your original question with a resounding YES, commando's get the shaft in loot. The damage is obviously based on the old stats for these weapons, and not on the new 'average' 480-850ish damage on a crafted Flamer.

lol that is too funny. commandos get the shaft in loot too. ive been killing night sisters all this time hoping to find a legendary FT. after reading this theres no point. my 3.8 speed 1198 dam ft will own when composite gets nerfed.
