Now that I have points freed up from the BH changes, I will be taking commando. Mostly for the launcher pistol ( I'm master pistoleer, BH pistols 3).I do pretty good damge with pistols, but I still lack in armor piercing. I wanted to take the heavy support weapons branch for the apparent high damage and AP3. Are these weapons any good, for say, taking out Krayts? What is the DPS?

I dont know who told you this but you will be sorely disappointed. The DPS on these guys are a joke. Taking that even furthur, at master you hardly hit with them. Our accuracy is terrible at best with them and makes them virtually useless. (Thats one tree gone) If you like grenades be ready to blow yourself up. Almost all of our grenades have a blast radius equal to the range, meaning you take the same damage as your oponnent. Good thing you rarely hit with that as well. Couple that with the low damage that they do and another one bites the dust. (Two trees useless) I am assuming you are not going to use the HAR since you are going pistols, not including you have probably heard how bad it is. (Third tree done) Your lucky that you are going for the LP since your pistol skill tapescan help you out if you have any. Considering our HW tapes dont work as well.

To sum it up take novice for the LP if you like it, but dont take any of the HW lines or any of the other lines for that matter. The FT is our only working tree, but would probably not compliment your pistols at all considering we are forced into melee range to use our specials with no melee defense. Stick to your pistols where you can live in melee range much easier.

Cool..thanks for the info. I'll wait for the combat balance before I decide what to do with the extra points. Had the flame thrower before, and while cool, it doesn't help me much. Oh well, novice medic is always good in the meantime.
