Ok My first hint was when I mentioned to some Mega PvPer type player in a Med Center lastweek I intented to Master Commando... There reply "I'am sorry..."
That didn't really hit home.. Well untill I started reading the message boards....
I am Close to my first skill box in Commando.. Flamer 1
So I guess my question is.. Do I move on.. Hang all those Neat looking weapons I had gotten for this profession up on the wall.. As a reminder of a better distant future to come for the profession I had choice for myself. And find some other profession untill better days arrive for the Commando?

My advice would be to do what you consider fun. If you just want to PvE, commando is ok stand alone when mixed with medic and some other defenses from different proffessions. Against high level content, like the back end of the geo dungeon and corvette, you will need to group with other professions that can tank and/or complement your firepower. If you want to PvP, then you should probably select a different profession.

Wait for the combat balance. And on a side note, would you people call Garvin off already...I'll spill the beans regarding the CB when I have beans to spill...geesh...

Ok now that is out of the way, if you are looking for the FT as a supplement then you might want it. The problem is with the weapon delay it will be harder to survive the switch. All of those shiny weapons you bought, i am assuming you got them all, are pretty much nothing more than a light show right now. The only one worth using is the RL. For more information just read through the threads. I have written more comprehensive posts in the past on the subject. I am just not in a long winded mood today.

It depends? are you looking to be very active in PvP, large group PvP? lots of one on one dueling?
if thats the case you'll lack in PvP compared to others in large groups you'd still beable to add damage one on one chances are you'll drop to most of them unless they don't have high heat resist you might get a good flame dot on them.
If your just into killing monsters you'll do better as another class but you can get by as a commando. and in a group you should be fine as long as you don't pull aggro on anything that hits hard.
