Thread: Quick fix for commando: Cheaper and more avail. heavy assault weapons and grenades.

Reduce the number of component required drasticly, and reduce the number of resourses required.
Back when I was a master commando on chimera my ws mate refuced to make me rocket launchers for less than 50k a piece witch is redicolous considered the current efficensy. I've occationally seen them at 12k a piece.
Should get crates of them for like 10k in my oppinion.
Make it a two component weapon or something.
They are currently at pvp prices, but they don't work in pvp, so they should have pve prices.

To tell you the truth, I wouldnt mind spending the money on something that is worth it. The reason why people are really upset about the prices is because there are other professions that get AP3 weapons that do not have a limited use. Very frustrating to see a rifleman or a swordsman man-handle a turret while we are still shooting our 1k per rocket weapon.

As a former MWS I must say that I would check the damage on a RL that is selling for 12k. All the materials alone would cost around that much. It is just disgusting how many factory runs you have to make for just one rocket launcher. Most of the materials are specific, no generic stuff, and the stats are crap. I used a formula to price my weapons based on type of damage, AP and DPS. Then I would cut that price by 2/3 for consumables and it still came out to about 1k per shot. I am pretty sure I made some profit off of them but it was still a pain in the butt to make them.

That's what I'm telling you mate, the rocket launchers needs to be a LOT easier to build. Two components or so.
TBH 12k is still far to expencive for them.

The devs have all but said that we won't see any significant/specificchanges before the combat balance, which is in effect a revamp for all the combat professions. Also, garvin has been pushing to try and get all of our heavy weapons replaced with a single launcher that could then be reloaded using ammo packs similar to the way harvesting droids work with traps.
